Hundreds of affordable apartments will be preserved or newly constructed in Brooklyn     more...

We are very proud of closing our $500,000 loan to Bowery Residents’ Committee [http://brc.org/], in collaboration with two other mission-driven lenders, the New York Pooled PRI Fund (NYPRI) [link: http://seachangecap.org/the-new-york-pooled-pri-fund/] and Trinity Wall Street [link: https://www.trinitywallstreet.org/welcome/?s=welcome4].  Construction has started on an integrated shelter and permanent affordable housing facility.  And after much dedication, Cooper Square Committee [https://coopersquare.org/] repaid us after closing on construction financing for new transitional housing for LGBTQ youth in the East Village.  This facility will be operated by the Ali Forney Center.  We were also repaid by Lantern Community Services [http://www.lanterngroup.org/pages/about-us], which outgrew our loan and got a larger one from the Low Income Investment Fund, a national CDFI.  Now we're busy at work on new loans for the portfolio!
